One learning loop

I built Tama for my own Japanese study. I wanted to practice conversation, keep the useful vocabulary from a session, and know what to work on next without moving between several tools.

Conversation can produce feedback and new flashcards. Review shows what still needs work, and the daily plan chooses what to do next. I designed those parts to feed one another instead of behaving like separate tools.

Common Questions

Can I practice Japanese by voice or text?

Yes. Use microphone input when you want to speak naturally, or type in Japanese for a quieter or slower session.

Where does Tama store my study data?

Study data stays locally on your device. Conversation and speech data is sent only to the AI, transcription, or voice providers you configure, and local provider options are supported.

Which operating systems support Tama?

Tama provides desktop release builds for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
